View Near the "Bloody Angle" (William H. Tipton, 1882)

While this unpublished view displays little stereo separation, we include it here as it was made while Tipton was creating his 360° panoramic photographs under the direction of Cyclorama artist Paul Philippoteaux.
In the plate (non-stereoscopic) view (NPS) the man reclining near the middle of the frame moves to a spot near the fence. Just off the field of view here, in the plate version there is a figure mounted on a horse to the right.
The plate view has been incorporated into a VR panorama, which may be viewed here. A further discussion of Tipton's work on that day is here.

If you have red/cyan 3D glasses, click on the stereo pair above to see its anaglyph.
